When you donate, you are helping Breathe California of Sacramento-Emigrant Trails clean our air, fight lung disease and eliminate tobacco from children’s lives. Every dollar that you donate stays in our community and supports our local programs, which make our region a healthier place to live and breathe.
For example, your fundraising supports our Asthma Collaborative who help thousands in this region and the world who suffer from asthma. To date, we have printed and distributed over 30,000 copies of “Your Asthma Book” to over 40 countries. Many more copies have been downloaded from our website.
Your donations also help supply vital information to the public through the Air Quality Index Activity Chart, which shows the appropriate levels of outdoor activity during poor air quality days.
In addition, through our Thumbs Up! Thumbs Down! Program, 50 youth reviewers review the top 10 box office movies each week for tobacco content and maintain the most comprehensive database on the subject in the world.
